Farmabios produce e commercializza principi attivi per uso farmaceutico (API, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) in cinque aree di alta specializzazione: •Steroidi •Steroidi sterili •Cefalosporine semisintetiche •Cefalosporine semisintetiche sterili •Sostanze ad alta attivita' (HPS, Highly Potent Substances) L’azienda vende i propri prodotti in tutto il mondo, in particolare nei maggiori mercati; l'80% delle vendite è, infatti, destinato a Unione Europea, Stati Uniti, Canada e Giappone. Grazie ad un’ampia disponibilita' di tecnologie proprietarie avanzate, Farmabios fornisce inoltre servizi di sintesi su misura (custom synthesis) a societa' specializzate nell’identificazione e nello sviluppo di nuove molecole (NCE, New Chemical Entities). Farmabios è attiva dal 1961 e impiega 150 persone su un’area di 60 mila metri quadrati, dei quali 22 mila adibiti all’impiantistica. La società è certificata in base alle norme ISO 9001 e ISO 14001. Opera inoltre secondo le norme cGMP ed è ispezionata su base regolare da entità internazionali quali FDA e EDQM

Farmabios può vantare uno dei suoi principali punti di forza nell’area dell’assicurazione della qualità e del rispetto delle normative, tanto che la società ha sempre ottenuto eccellenti riscontri nelle ispezioni condotte dall’autorità normativa italiana, da quelle europee e dall’americana FDA. La società è titolare di un certificato GMP emesso dalle autorità italiane. E’ inoltre certificata ISO 9001 & ISO 14000 dal 2003. La più recente ispezione di pre-approvazione (PAI, Pre-Approval Inspection) è stata condotta dalla FDA nel marzo 2007; il risultato è stato positivo, con nessun rilievo effettuato alla struttura e al sistema organizzativo. In virtù di un solido e ben strutturato gruppo di Quality Systems e del forte impegno del management verso il rispetto delle normative, tutte le ispezioni effettuate negli ultimi dieci anni si sono risolte con successo e senza alcun rilievo significativo. Abbiamo depositato numerosi DMF/CTD in tutto il mondo e ottenuto diversi Certificate of Suitability da parte di EDQM. Farmabios has been in business since 1961 and currently employs 150 people in facilities spanning an area of 60-thousand square meters, 22-thousand of which have been set aside for plants. The company is certificated in terms of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Standards. Farmabios can proudly claim that one of its strengths lies in the area of Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance, so much so that the company has always achieved excellent results from the inspections conducted by the Italian regulatory authorities as well as by the European authorities and the American FDA. The company is in possession of a GMP certificate issued by the Italian authorities. Furthermore, since 2003, the company has also been certified in terms of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 systems. The most recent Pre-Approval Inspection (or PAI) was carried out by the FDA in March 2007. The result of this audit was positive, with no negative observations as regards company structure or organisational systems. By virtue of a solid and well-structured set of Quality Systems, as well as a strong management commitment towards adhering to the regulations, all the audits carried out during the past ten years have yielded positive results and no significant areas of concern have been noted. We have submitted numerous DMFs/CTDs worldwide and have obtained various Certificates of Suitability from the EDQM. We are also in an excellent position to provide our customers with specialist assistance in terms of preparing the necessary data for their certification (IND, NDA and ANDA), and the close collaboration between the regulatory department and those of Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Research and Development results in the provision of precisely that which is required for the submission of registration applications anywhere in the world.
